Since its inception, CTFD has helped dancers in 47 states make transitions from a career that is youth-oriented, injury-prone, and all too brief, to a broad range of rewarding professions. Outside of the organization's 3,500 active clients, CTFD has helped thousands of dancers - from students to former performers in their mature years - use the skills gained from their performing experience in equally fulfilling careers for a successful life after dance. CTFD is a leader in the dance community through its innovative career counseling services and financial support. Through gifts and grants from individuals, performing arts unions, foundations, corporations, and government agencies, CTFD's Annual Fund is able to provide the vital unrestricted support that sustains the organization's mission of service to dancers-in-transition.
Gifts to the Annual Fund ensure CTFD's ability to maintain and enrich existing services, as well as develop new and innovative programs on behalf of an ever-increasing roster of dancer-clients. Every contribution to the Annual Fund works hard to ensure the availability of expert career-counseling, educational scholarships, workshops and seminars, a telephone hotline and website, as well as comprehensive reference materials.
Dancer-clients come to CTFD from more than 40 companies nationwide, as well as from Broadway and off-Broadway musicals, Las Vegas shows, industrials, and the television and film industries. The exceptional accomplishments of CTFD's clients reflect the diversity of the dance-community-at-large and the wealth of talent among its members. CTFD's clients have gone on to pursue - and establish - successful careers in "A-to-Z" professions that include, but are not limited to: advertising; agriculture; architecture, environmental and landscape design; arts-management; art, music and occupational therapies; aviation; bridal consulting; career-counseling; catering; civil, electrical, and recording engineering; computer technology/graphic and web design; corporate job training; costume, lighting, and set design; dance education and history; primary, secondary, and higher education; electroneurodiagnostic technology; event-planning; fashion; film-making; film/music composing; finance; firefighting and paramedic certification; horticulture/floral design; foreign language translation; forestry; fund-raising; hair design and cosmetology; interior design; international relations; journalism; law; marine biology; physical therapies such as reflexology, massage techniques, personal training, Pilates, Yoga, the Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais Method, gyrotonics, and aquatic training; medicine; performers' employment agency; pet care; photography; psychology; publishing; real estate; social work; stage management; television and theatre direction and production; theology; violin restoration; and zoology. Along the way to the fulfillment of their goals, clients recognize the importance of giving back and are among CTFD's most loyal supporters.
For those who value the inspiring contributions that dancers make to our society as performers, CTFD's Annual Fund offers a meaningful and tax-deductible way to support their transition efforts in anticipation of "life after dance." To this end, every gift - regardless of size - is essential. In fact, contributions to the Annual Fund account for approximately forty-five percent of CTFD's total budget each year.
Through enthusiastic and knowledgeable donor participation, Career Transition For Dancers can look forward to making a lasting impact on the lives of dancers, nationwide, now and in the future. To this end, it is with heartfelt gratitude that CTFD thanks its many good friends for their thoughtful and ongoing generosity.
You, too, can join CTFD in friendship. Simply make your gift payable to Career Transition For Dancers and mail it to 165 West 46th Street, Suite 701, New York, NY 10036-2501. Or, if you prefer to charge your gift by phone to VISA, Mastercard, or American Express, please call William J. Dale, Director of Development, at (212) 764-0172 ext. 226.
CTFD is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit arts-service organization.
SHARE IN THE FUTURE
Career Transition For Dancers' Circle of Friends was created to encourage donors to support the organization in perpetuity. Membership in the "Circle" brings recognition and honor to thoughtful Board members, clients, alumni, and friends who establish bequests, made by will, in the name of Career Transition For Dancers. Whether modest or sizeable, bequests are an important - and simple - way in which donors can strengthen CTFD's financial base and provide significant funding for its expanding programs and the ever-increasing client base they serve. Please consider becoming a charter member of the "Circle." We would be happy to provide donors, their attorneys, and other advisors with bequest information. Inquiries, which will be held in the strictest confidence, may be made by contacting William J. Dale, Director of Development, Career Transition For Dancers, 165 West 46th Street - Suite 701, New York, NY 10036-2501. Telephone (212) 764-0172 ext. 226 or fax (212) 764-0343.

Dear Friends:
On behalf of Career Transition for Dancers, I am profoundly grateful to your exceptional dedication and generosity during 2006.
Your outpouring of friendship is the driving force that keeps CTFD on the cutting edge of specialized programs and services for dancers. With this and the year's achievements in mind, I am very proud to introduce CTFD's list of supporters for 2006. Its broad range of giving pays tribute, not only to the organization and its clients, but to you - our knowledgeable and enthusiastic donors whose gifts, at every entry level of support, define the word, "partner".
Each and every gift to our Annual Fund for 2006 and "ONE WORLD", our 21st Anniversary Jubilee Gala, helped make the year a very memorable one. Thanks to our extended "family" - growing roster of clients, alumni, and friends; members of our Board of Directors and National Advisory Board; foundation, corporation, and performing arts unions - we are forging ahead with new programmatic initiatives and the educational and entrepreneurial scholarships that mean so much to dancer-clients throughout the United States.
It is with heartfelt appreciation for all that you have done to ensure the year's success that I thank you, one and all.
Sincerely,
Alexander J. Dubé
Executive Director
