Due to dancers' hectic performance schedules and diverse career paths, we provide a variety of services that address specific needs and interests.

Each year we take the organization's programs and services on the road to cities
with a significant dance presence. These two-day seminars introduce dancers around
the country to the organization's signature counseling methodology so they can begin
developing their careers while they are still performing. To date, we have reached
over 1,500 dancers in 20 cities across the nation.
Day One of the National Outreach Project is geared to help dancers identify personal interests and skills, career possibilities for the future, address the emotional aspects of change, and provide follow-up information for those who wish to continue using our services after the seminar. Day Two is dedicated to one-on-one career counseling that addresses the individual needs of each dancer.
Many dancers find our National Outreach Projects helpful as they are able to connect personally with our career counselors. Check the schedule of events for when we will be in your city. We'll see you there.

As a result of the success of our Career Counseling program, we initiated a program
to reach students, pre-professionals, and professionals on their home ground. Local
Outreach Projects give dancers the opportunity to learn about our many programs
among their colleagues and peers so they can institute long-term career plans as
soon as possible.
Each project varies in structure, based on dancers' interests, needs, and performance schedule. Many projects also feature alumni of the host institution and our organization, who share personal stories and encourage their colleagues take action while they are still performing.
If you would like us to hold a Local Outreach Project for your dancers, please contact us at info@careertransition.org.

As a not-for-profit arts-service organization committed to dancers, we endeavor to reach as many current and former professional dancers as possible. All of our services are provided free of charge. Donate now to help us reach even more dancers.
